Josue Oregel graduated from San Jose State University with a major in Gender, Women, and Sexuality Studies. Since 2012, he has immersed himself in dance, training in various styles such as contemporary and jazz. His expertise also includes a wide range of Latin rhythms, including mambo, salsa, and folklorico.

He has trained and worked with Bay Area choreographers such as Vernon Gallegos, Blanca Sanchez, Takeshi Young, and, currently, Rogelio Lopez. In 2018, he trained in theater dance under Deanna Doyle at the Broadway Dance Center (BDC) in New York City.

Josue has a deep-rooted passion for Afro-Brazilian dance. He is undergoing samba training under Johana Vizcarra, the Musa of Rio de Janeiro's Imperio da Tijuca samba school, with the aim of becoming a passista there.

Beyond his accomplishments in dance, he is also a professional costume designer, channeling his passion for costume-making into creative designs for theater productions. Whether on stage as a dancer or behind the scenes as a costume designer or a freelance artist, Josue continues to work across the Bay Area, drawing on his diverse talents.
